Pastor Ray Barnard, a native of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, moved to Allentown, Pennsylvania when he was ten years old.  Following his graduation from high school, Pastor Barnard continued his education at Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree.

After becoming born again, he pursued the call of God on his life and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in December 1989 to attend Oral Roberts University, where he studied at the School of Theology.  During his second year at ORU, he was ordained and licensed by Victory Fellowship Ministries, where he later became the Youth Outreach Pastor. 

Upon his return to Philadelphia, Pastor Barnard continued ministering to the youth and became the Youth Pastor of Deliverance Evangelistic Church. 

In 1994, he and his wife, Pastor Tracey Barnard, started a Bible study from their home with eleven people.  From this humble beginning, Impacting Your World Christian Center was born. IYWCC currently has a membership of over 2500 with three locations; Philadelphia, PA., Cherry Hill, NJ and Elkton, MD.
